Life Threatening Emergencies:

In a life-threatening emergency such as sudden severe chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of power in a limb, loss of consciousness or severe bleeding dial 999.

Injuries:

The health centre is equipped to treat minor injuries like small cuts and joint sprains. If the injury is more severe or may involve a broken bone then you should attend the local Accident & Emergency Unit at:

If you require an X-ray please go to your nearest casualty department as we do not have X-ray facilities in the Health Centre.

Also in the event of poisoning or overdose the attend the local Accident & Emergency Unit.

Urgent Problems during Surgery Hours:

If you have an urgent problem during surgery hours (8.00am-6.00pm) call the health centre on 0141 314 4621. The receptionist will need to take some details about the problem and arrangements will be made for an urgent appointment.

Urgent Problems outside Surgery Hours:

Out of Hours cover is the responsibility of Greater Glasgow & Clyde NHS Board and as such NHS24 provides cover.

The surgery is closed during the following times:

Monday - Friday 6.00pm - 8.00am
Saturday - Monday 8.00pm - 8.00am
Public Holidays 6.00pm the night before until 8.00am the day after.

In cases of emergency when the surgery is closed please contact NHS24 on: 08454 24 24 24

This message will be relayed to you if you contact the surgery out of normal working hours e.g. during 6.00pm and 8.00am, plus during the weekend and public holidays.

When you contact NHS24 your call will be passed to a nurse who will assess your condition/request and either give you advice, arrange a home visit or pass your information to another health professional. Details of your contact with NHS24 will be forwarded to your own Practice the next working day.
