We are pleased to offer our registered patients a travel health service.
Our nurse uses up-to-date information to advise you on your health needs related to destinations around the world. They can administer most vaccinations and provide prescriptions for treatments where needed.
Further information about countries and vaccinations required can be found on the Fit for Travel website.
Travelling in Europe is the European Union’s official website for people travelling in the 27 countries of the EU. Whether you are on holiday or on business, you will find practical advice and helpful tips on a wealth of subjects, from what documents you need, to getting healthcare and using your mobile phone.
We offer the travel health service free of charge, but unfortunately the NHS does not cover the cost of all the treatments you may need. Therefore, for some services you may need to pay.
A list of these charges is held at reception.
There are only a few vaccination we can give for travel i.e. tetanus polio booster, Hepatitis A. A prescription will be issued for these if they are required.
Vaccine such as Rabies, Yellow Fever, Japanese encephalitis are only available via specialised travel clinics. Malaria tablets are available via a private prescription the cost of which is determined by the pharmacist and payable to the pharmacist.
Please give details of which countries and areas you are visiting along with the dates of your stay.
